Information for Parents
Staff
Safety is our first priority! Your children will be supervised by YMCA professionals and staff who are experienced and dedicated to providing all children with a positive camp experience. They understand children, their needs and their concerns. All staff complete a thorough orientation and are certified in CPR and first aid. We maintain a staff to camper ratio no greater than 1:5.
Facilities
Camp Polliwog is located at the West Suburban YMCA in Newton, MA. The Polliwog 1 campers (ages 3½-4) will be based out of the preschool room, and Polliwog 2 campers (ages 5-6½) will primarily use the after school program room (except for pre-camp and post-camp when all campers will be in the same room). At various times during the day, the campers will also use the gymnasium, swimming pool, outdoor playground and artificial turf field.
